Sticking To Your Goals4/24/2009
I know it’s hard to lose weight or tone up or whatever it is you want to do. I decided a while ago I wanted to lose weight, but mostly to get in shape. So I bought a gym membership, paid for a 2 year membership all at once, no monthly payments and an overall cheaper price, it was really nice. I also bought the best diet pills I could find and so on and so forth. So a month later, I hadn’t been to the gym probably in 2 weeks, I had stopped taking my diet pills, and I was eating potato chips. I know, one slip up not a big deal. But that was my I don’t know what number of slip up. Now I went vegan for a while years ago, and my weight was great, my tone was great, I felt great. But I’m just not that disciplined is what it came down to. I suck, I know. And then I found out about people who actually gained weight on a vegan diet, are you kidding me! Were they cheating and stuffing their faces and binging on meat on the side or something? I’m just curious here. But honestly, how do you do that? When I went on a vegan diet, I tried the soy cheese, partly because I’m allergic to milk anyway, what the hell. I’m not a big fan of cheese, but I like it every once in a while with my tomato soup, which also turned into tomato soup with no milk or any of that, which is surprisingly tastier than I thought. I took in some serious soy milk, actually that was a good substitute for real milk in my tomato soup. I got some pizzas even that had the soy cheese, not as good as I thought. I got soy ice cream, but all in all I ate a lot of vegetables and fruits and every once in a while tofu or tofurkey(not actually too bad at all), occasionally those black bean burgers, which really are amazing by the way. I think I lost 30 pounds without exercising and with the same busy schedule. It was ridiculous, I didn’t know I could look so good. Oh, and no best diet pills. I was always eating things that probably weren’t the best for me, but nonetheless vegan, and I lost that much weight. Granted, I actually ate good things too. But still, how do you manage to gain weight on that!
