Cheap Asian Shopping3/21/2009
If you take a trip to Korea or especially some of the third world countries of Asia and the rest of the world, you will find that men’s socks can be found at really cheap prices. Everything can be found at really cheap prices actually. I mean you can find doggy outfits, pots, pans, clothes for yourself, ties, etc for cheap. I had one lady who tried to sell me a doggy jacket for $50, which was ridiculous. All her items were apparently $50, but I’m not sure who would buy it, especially with the fact being that she was selling all her stuff in a small local market where everything is notoriously cheap. It wasn’t one of those tourist trap places. You can tell partly by the population of locals versus tourists. But anyway, other dog clothes that were about equal to things I’ve bought in Petsmarts for about $20-$30, partly because they claim part of it’s going to charity, which I doubt. But anyway, I pretty much bought the same things for $5. So I thought that was pretty sweet. I also bought some imitation Rolexes that looked really convincing 10 years ago. You couldn’t tell the difference if you didn’t know that Rolexes sweep instead of ticking. They even had some of the same popular styles. Now they call them “Romix.” Not so good. Anyway, on my recent trip, I made some purchases. I spent all my money getting souvenirs for my friends and their kids and all that, because I get the experience, they get the tacky or not so tacky souvenirs that only substitute for the actual experience. So I think it’s pretty nice. Some are nice like the Nike or imitation Nike men’s socks I found. And others are like little barrettes and things for the girls and little drum sets for the boy kids of course. And of course, there are always the pictures. The styles are somewhat ahead of their times. So that’s fun. I even got some rip off versions of DVD’s, the Microsoft programs, wii games, etc. You have to have a code to get in. But they must make all sorts of codes by communicating and making deals with someone in the companies. Otherwise, I don’t know how they’d pull off the codes you have to have.
