Christopher Bowman Dies in His Sleep

Christopher Bowman former figure skating superstar died on a drug overdose yesterday Thursday, January 10, 2008. He was known to be "Bowman the Showman" because of his unique agility in the ice. He had won various figure skating contest during his career and had once became an actor. He starred in the TV show "Little House on the Prairie" when he was a child.Coroner's Lt. Joe Bale pronounced Bowman dead at 12:06 p.m. Bowman's body was found at a motel in the North Hills section of Los Angeles, and an autopsy was expected this weekend, Bale said. His mother told the press that Christopher had just died in his sleep peacefully.
Christopher Bowman was figure skating's famous individuals during the late 1980s and early 1990s. He was unusually talented and performed well that only a few could match, he won the U.S. men's figure skating titles in 1989 and 1992, and was runner-up in 1987 and 1991. He also garnered a silver medal at the 1989 world championships, and a bronze the next year. He skated in the 1988 and 1992 Winter Olympics, finishing seventh in 1988 and fourth in 1992.
