The Celebrity Stalker At Home

Can celebrities do nothing without the world freaking out and taking a sensationalized picture? I mean when they put on socks or when they go outside their house to play in their pool, we all freak out like oh my gosh what are they doing. When they eat food in their cars or in restaurants, we look at them and say why are they eating that, why are they eating like that. Who cares! They have a whole feature on msn about the “best celebritweets” and by this we mean twitter. The reality is that most of the “celebrity” accounts on twitter are not the celebs, and those that are, why are we so excited to follow them. Most of their tweets are just as boring as the ones the rest of us put up. And they’re interrupting interviews to update their twitter, holy wow. And yes, I do mean that. Most celebrities don’t say anything interesting on their tweets. Martha Stewart, one featured celeb on the tweets of the week said “just completed my asparagus column for MSL about to really write four intros for new books by friends-mar john, be patient.” I care why? That’s the whole point, I don’t care. But they do have clever commentary like the idea that “Ashton Kutcher, who was one mobile tweet away from being beaten with his cell phone by an irate rolling stone.” That’s not the celeb being entertaining though, that’s MSN. I mean when we’re excited because they’re talking about thin mints, get a life. Either way, I don’t care to see celebs putting on their socks, eating their lunches, or even embarrassing themselves on national television or whatnot. I just don’t care. Maybe because I have a life outside staring into my computer screen to see what insane thing Tom Cruise might do next. Though I admit, I do love South Park. And some of the pics, like that of Lance Armstrong and Matthew McConnaghey, McConaughey does look really good. But that’s all I’m looking at.
