Bientot le festival de la culture tzigane a Prague

Le 10ème anniversaire du festival de la culture tzigane, le festival Khamoro aura lieu du 25 au 31 Mai 2008 à Prague, sous le parrainage du premier ministre tchèque Mirek Topolánek. Les meilleurs artistes ayant participé aux dernières éditions seront présents, ce qui promet d’être vraiment du haut niveau. Au programme du festival concerts, expositions et autres évènements comme une conférence sur l'ethnomusicologie par exemple.

L’inauguration de l’exposition “Ztracený ráj” qui signifie « le paradis perdu » au Musée Kampa constitue une excellente introduction au festival avec la présentation des différents artistes présents.

Le festival débutera le dimanche 25 au Rock Café avec un concert de Guločar et Le čhavendar, qui mélangent la musique rom traditionnelle avec des morceaux funk et des compositions aux sonorités latines. La session de concerts de Gypsy Jazz sera quant à elle inaugurée au club Reduta avec la prestation du virtuose français Yorgui Loeffler.

Mardi 27,  vous avez le choix entre une exposition photo de l’allemand Alfred Ulrich à la Maison des Minorités Dům národnostních menšin ou la projection d’un film au cinéma Aero suivi d’une performance live des célèbres Gitans.  Les concerts Gypsy Jazz continuent avec la venue d’Angelo Debarre.

Mercredi, la journée commence par une exposition en noir et blanc présentée par l’expert tchèque de la culture gitane Eva Davidová au club Popocafépetl. Elle sera suivie par un concert de Cinzi Renta, un groupe en provenance de Český Krumlov, petite ville de République Tchèque. Enfin le dernier concert de la série Gipsy Jazz sera celui du groupe hollandais Basily à 9 heures.

La traditionnelle parade qui traverse Prague de Můstek à Staroměstské náměstí (place de la vieille ville) s’élancera dans l’après-midi du jeudi 29 Mai. Ne manquez surtout pas la présentation des costumes tziganes traditionnels au Palais Aventine. Des personnalités et groupes de renom comme la formation macédonienne Esma Redžepova ou espagnole Puerto Flamenco enflammeront la scène du Roxy à partir de 19 heures pour le premier concert de musique traditionnelle ; sont également confirmés le groupe Romans d’Ukraine et les légendaires Bengas. Le second concert au Roxy accueillera le meilleur orchestres des Balkans: Oluja (Serbie), le roi de la clarinette Ferus de Macédoine, la légende russe Loyko et Arbat (France) le vendredi.

Le festival se terminera en beauté au Centre des Congrès où 8 des groupes présents pendant le festival vous offriront un dernier échantillon de leurs talents pour un concert de 4 heures avec une mise en scène spéciale. Je vous conseille de réserver dès à présent vos hotels Prague, car nous ne serez pas les seuls à Prague cette semaine ; en effet de nombreux fans et journalistes sont attendus pour couvrir l’évènement.

Le but du festival est de montrer la richesse de la culture bohémienne et de ses traditions, qui appartiennent aussi bien à la mémoire tchèque qu’à celle de l’Europe. Ce festival contribue également à une meilleure intégration de la communauté tzigane dans la société tchèque et au développement d’une société multiculturelle.
